To qualify for the Federal Skilled Worker (FSW) category of Express Entry you need to score minimum 67 points out of 100 based on six selection factors. Find below these selection factors and points allocated for each of them.

The table above is the FSWP Points calculator 2019. The cumulative of the above factors must be at least 67 points, else you won’t be able to qualify to apply Canada PR through the Express Entry system.

 

Education Factor

Education factor is one of the six selection factors of the Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP) category of express entry. You need to provide ECA for the verification of your overseas qualification. You can get up to 25 points for this factor, as per the below point’s arrangement:

Also, Degree program must be in one of the following academic disciplines: Medicine, Veterinary Medicine, Dentistry, Podiatry, Optometry, Law, Chiropractic Medicine, or Pharmacy.

Language Factor

Language factor is one of the six selection factors of the FSWP category of express entry. You need to provide language test result from an approved testing agency (with minimum CLB 7 Score) to prove your proficiency in English or French language. IETLS is the approved testing agency for the English language.  You can get up to 28 points for this factor, as per the below point’s arrangement:

The work Experience factor is one of the six selection factors of the FSWP category of express entry. You can get up to 15 points for this factor, as per the below point’s arrangement:

Arranged Employment factor

is presently working in Canada on an LMIA-based work permit and his or her work in Canada is considered "skilled" (NOC 0, A, or B level).

. The work permit is valid when a permanent residency application is made* and

. The employer has made a permanent, full-time skilled job offer to the applicant.

*At the time the permanent resident visa is issued, the applicant is expected to still hold a valid work permit.

is presently working in Canada on an LMIA-exempt work permit or a work permit issued under a provincial/territorial agreement.

. The work permit is valid when a permanent residence application is made* and

. The employer has made a permanent, full-time skilled job offer to the applicant.

*At the time the permanent resident visa is issued, the applicant is expected to still hold a valid work permit.

Not having a valid work permit and is not authorized to work in Canada.

. A prospective employer has made a permanent, full-time skilled job offer to the applicant; and

. The offer of employment has received a positive LMIA

having a valid work permit or is otherwise authorized to work in Canada, but does not fall under one of the two above scenarios.

. The work permit or authorization is valid when a permanent residence application is made;

Adaptability factor

Adaptability factor is one of the six selection factors of the FSWP category of express entry. It assess the ability of an applicant to integrate and settle in Canada. You can get up to 10 points for this factor, as per the below point’s arrangement:
