The year 2019 has marked another big draw figures and this time it s the province of Saskatchewan who came up with sending out huge numbers of invitations to in its Express Entry and Occupation In-Demand candidates.

The SINP has issued a total of 858 invitations on October 31 via popular Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program streams. Please note, none of the streams include a provincial job offer or Canadian work experience as eligibility criteria.

Including this round, the SINP has held a total of six invitation rounds via its Express Entry linked sub-category and five invitation rounds for the Occupation In-Demand category since 25th September 2019. And with these 11 rounds, a total of 4,704 invitations have been issued to apply for the provincial nomination in both the categories under the SINP.

In this latest draw held on 31st October, a total of 58 occupations have been targeted, including human resource professionals, Database analysts and data administrators, Information systems analysts and consultants, Drafting technologists and technicians, and Aircraft mechanics and aircraft inspectors.

Minimum Score Requirement in the Latest Draw

All the candidates who have scored a minimum of 69 points or above under both Express Entry and Occupation In-Demand sub-categories are invited in the 31st October draw. The SINP has also invited those candidates who have scored 68 points and have 10 years of work experience and CLB 7 or higher in English or French language proficiency.

Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP)

Out of two sub-categories under SINP, the Express Entry sub-category is aligned to the Express Entry system of Canada, which manages a candidate pool for three major Federal High Skilled immigration streams of Canada, including, the Federal Skilled Worker Class, Federal Skilled Trades Class, and Canadian Experience Class. While the Occupation In-Demand category is designed for those candidates who have not registered their profile under the Express Entry pool.

In order to be eligible to apply for Saskatchewan s provincial nomination program via any of the sub-categories, an applicant is required to register an EOI (Expression of Interest) with Saskatchewan.

Then the eligible candidates obtain ranks on the basis of the scores obtained on the SINP’s International Skilled Worker Points Assessment Grid. Those with higher-rank then receive an invitation to apply for the provincial nomination via regular draws, which are conducted by the SINP.
