The Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program is the Provincial Nominee Program of the Alberta Province in Canada. AINP has been designed for the skilled and semi-skilled workers, who wish to live and work in the province of Alberta and also meet the basic criteria of AINP. Alberta nominates the AINP selected candidates to the federal government (IRCC) for Canadian permanent residency, IRCC later takes the decision on the individual application as the final round.
Alberta PNP in an important update launched much awaited Alberta Express Entry Stream on June 14, 2018. This key stream will allow the province of Alberta to select and nominated certain number of candidates from Federal Express Entry System of IRCC (Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada).
Alberta Express Entry Stream of AINP, allows Alberta province of Canada to select the suitable applicants directly from the Express Entry pool and notify them to apply in AINP. The express entry candidates, who are found suitable for the economy and labour market of the province, will get NOI (Notification of Interest) from Alberta in their express entry account.
To apply in AINP Express Entry stream, you need to have your profile registered in the federal Express Entry System. You must mention Alberta as your preferred province while registering profile or simply select ‘All Provinces or Territories’ option. If your profile found suitable by Alberta, you will get notification of interest from AINP.
You need to email a copy of the Notification of Interest letter to the AINP within 2 weeks of receiving the letter from IRCC. Now, you will be informed about the further process to apply in AINP.
If you apply in AINP and get selected by Alberta for the provincial nomination, you will get 600 additional CRS (Comprehensive Ranking System) points in your Express Entry account. The 600 points will make you eligible to receive Invitation to Apply (ITA) Canadian PR visa from IRCC in your express entry account.
Once you get the ITA from IRCC, you need to submit complete Canadian permanent residency application along with the prescribed documents within 60 days. The Canadian Immigration authorities will verify your application and documents it may take 3-6 months, depending on the individual application. If your documents and application are found genuine, you will get Canada PR visa approval from IRCC.
