Please note the frequency and number of invitations issued to apply is generally based on annual allocations from the IRCC and the province's ability to process applications in a timely fashion.

The British Columbia invite applicants under the following categories:

  • Skills Immigration — Skilled Worker
  • Skills Immigration — International Graduate
  • Skills Immigration — Entry Level and Semi-Skilled
  • Express Entry BC — Skilled Worker
  • Express Entry BC — International Graduate
  • Entrepreneur Immigration – Base Category
  • Entrepreneur Immigration – Regional Pilot

In the case of HealthCare Professional and International Post-Graduate applicants who have applied under the Express Entry BC or Skills Immigration streams, there is no need for an ITA (invitation to apply). They can directly apply online through BCPNP.

The British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program periodically invites the highest-scoring applicants in each category to apply for provincial nomination.

Then BC PNP nominates successful candidates to apply for Canada's permanent residence through Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).
