In a latest OINP draw held on 26th August 2020, the Canadian province, Ontario invited 21 eligible immigration candidates under Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program Entrepreneur Stream.

In order to be eligible for this round, candidates were required to submit their expression of interest between 22nd November 2019 and 21st August 2020 and an EOI score ranging between 144 and 200.

With this draw, the total number of invitations issued under OINP's Entrepreneur Stream so far in 2020 has reached up to 91.

Eligibility Criteria

The net worth requirement for the proposed business within the Greater Toronto Area is $800,000 and required investment is $600,000

Entrepreneurs aiming outside the GTA required $400,00 of net worth and minimum $200,000 of investment

Candidates required 2 years of business experience of senior manager or business owner within the past 5 years. Earlier, only 36 months of business experience was required.4

In order to apply for a nomination, following criteria must be met after establishing a business:

Candidates must obtain minimum Canadian Language Benchmark 4 level

Candidates must the program's residency requirements and be residing physically in Ontario for 9 months out of 12 months in which they established their business in Ontario

Candidates must be involved actively in the managing business activities
