New Immigration Application Tracker Launched by IRCC- Canadas Spousal and Dependent Sponsorship Program

As a part of modernizing the Canadian immigration system, the government has recently launched an online application tracking portal. With this portal, all the spousal, common-law and dependent children sponsorship program applicants can easily track their application status online.

Applicants can now check their status using this tracker on the IRCC’s website. Currently, the tracker is available for those applying under spousal, common-law, and dependent child sponsorship programs.

With the new immigration application tracker, both applicants and representatives can track the status by entering the requested information and creating an account.

Excerpts from the Media Release

Speaking about the launch, Canada’s Immigration Minister, Sean Fraser, said, “This is a big deal for family reunification. In addition, we will be launching a permanent residency case tracker in February of this year for spousal common law independent clients, allowing them to access their own application information online easily.”

He further added, “This is going to address one of the major frustrations I have heard when people who are trying to get through an overburdened system at IRCC and calling to their MPs offices to get information. They will be able to get those updates themselves by logging in the system that is created to give them updates about the family reunification line of business.”
