Nova Scotia Issued Invitations to 430 Registered Nurses in the Latest Draw

In the latest draw held on 28th October 2019, the province of Nova Scotia has issued a total of 430 invitations to registered nurses or registered psychiatric nurses with prior work experience. They were invited through the Nova Scotia Labour Market Priorities stream.

All the invited applicants already had their profile registered in the Express Entry pool. It manages a candidate pool for three key Federal economic immigration programs of Canada, including the following:

  • Federal Skilled Worker Class
  • Federal Skilled Trades Class
  • Canadian Experience Class

Through this new Labour Market Priorities Stream, the province of Nova Scotia selects candidates from the Express Entry pool and chooses the skilled candidates who have prior work experience in those occupations in which the province faces the most labour shortage. The province then invites those candidates to apply for a provincial nomination for permanent residence visa of Canada.

With a provincial nomination, these candidates will also additional 600 points, which in turn guarantees them to obtain an invitation to apply for permanent residence of Canada from the Canadian Government.

Well, in this latest draw held on 28th October, the Nova Scotia’s spokesperson has also issued a statement and said that for this Nova Scotia Nominee Program (NSNP) draw, there is no minimum CRS score requirement.
