The Prince Edward Island s Government has issued a total of 143 EOI (Expression of Interest) to candidates under Express Entry, Business Impact and Labour Impact categories in a draw held on 15th August 2019.

Before applying for provincial nomination via the Express Entry, Labour Impact and Business Impact categories, candidates must submit their Expressions of Interest.
An EOI is not considered as an application, but, it s a way to notify the PEI PNP that a candidate can now be considered by the province for a provincial nomination.
The candidates with highest ranks will get their invitations to apply via monthly draws from each Express Entry pool.
This latest Express Entry draw resulted in a rise of 15 EOIs in comparison to last month s draw, which was held on 18th July, where a total of 118 EOIs was issued.
While, the minimum score for this draw was 112, which has been consistent from the last draw held 20th June.

The PEI PNP has various streams/categories for primary applicants and their family members who are interested in immigrating to the province permanently. This PNP also works on an EOI (Expression of Interest) system, where a prospective immigrant is required to connect with the nomination program before applying formally.

Under the Express Entry system, the Prince Edward Island attracts potential candidates for their provincial nominee program. The province sends a "notification of interest" to those Express Entry candidates whose profile matches with the eligibility requirements of the province.
Candidates who obtain a provincial nomination will get an additional 600 points towards their CRS score and are guaranteed to receive an invitation to apply for Canadian PR visa.
While the Labour Impact category of PEI is for foreign immigrants who have a valid employment offer from an employer of the province. Candidates under this category are invited via the following streams, Skilled Worker, Critical Worker, and International Graduate.
