In the latest Express Entry draw held on 13th May 2020, the federal government of Canada has invited a total of 529 eligible candidates to apply for Canadian PR.
In this program-specific draw held by the IRCC, ITAs have been issued to candidates who had received their provincial nomination from a PNP with a comparatively higher minimum score requirement of 718 CRS points.
As a matter of fact, 718 looks high CRS requirement because candidates with provincial nomination are awarded an additional 600 CRS points. Thus, for this round, CRS is of only 118 without the nomination.
With this invitation round, the total number of ITAs issued so far in 2020 through Express Entry programs have reached up to 34,829.
The IRCC (Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada) had employed March 19, 2020, at 12:53:21 UTC as the tie-break rule for this draw.
Thus, all the provincial nominee Express Entry candidates who had scored 718 points or above and had submitted their profile before the said date and time are the ones who have got their ITAs on the 13th May EE draw.
Unlike the initial few month of 2020 where IRCC was announcing all-program draws with CRS requirement floating around 470s, the IRCC had shifted its paradigm to more program-specific draws since March.
This is another program-specific Express Entry draw where PNP applicants are invited.
In fact, the IRCC is inviting candidates under both the categories naming, PNP, and Canadian Experience Class.
The reason being, these candidates are more likely to be living and working in Canada currently in comparison to candidates under other Express entry programs.
