The Immigration, Refugee and Citizenship Canada had issued total 3900 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) to eligible candidates in an all-program Express Entry Draw.
In this latest draw held on August 5, 2020, all the invited candidates are eligible to apply for Canadian permanent residence visa.
However, in order to be eligible for invitation, candidates required a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of minimum 476 points.
With this 25th EE draw for the year 2020, the IRCC had issued total 61,600 ITAs so far, setting a new record of issuing highest number of invitations for this time of the year.
For this round, the IRCC had implemented the tie-breaking rule of July 27, at 01:02:47 UTC.
So, all those candidates who obtained 476 points or above and had submitted their Express Entry profile in the pool before the said date and time, had received their invitations in this draw.
The key objective of using a tie-break rule is to rank applicants with same CRS scores as it is the primary factor while selecting candidates from the pool to issue invitation to apply for Canada permanent residence.
The Express Entry is an application management system that the federal government of Canada uses for managing PR applications under three key economic-class immigration programs: Federal Skilled Worker Program, Federal Skilled Trades Class and Canadian Experience Class.
Under Express Entry, candidates in the pool are ranked on the basis of their CRS score. The scores are considered based on key factors like, applicant's age, work experience, language proficiency (French or English), education, etc.
The IRCC rank all the candidates in the pool using a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) and select the highest-ranking candidates to invite them to apply for Canada PR visa.
