The federal government of Canada has again invited 3,311 eligible candidates to apply for Canadian PR under the Canadian Experience Class.
In this latest program-specific draw held by the IRCC on 1st May 2020, ITAs have been issued to candidates who have applied under Express Entry's CEC program with a comparatively lower minimum score requirement of 452 CRS points. In fact, this draw's CRS requirement has been marked as the lowest cutoff marks announced by Express Entry so far in 2020.
With this draw, the total number of ITAs issued so far in 2020 through Express Entry programs have reached up to 34,300.
The IRCC (Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada) had employed October 10, 2019, at 19:15:28 UTC as the tie-break rule for this draw.
Thus, all the CEC candidates who have scored 452 points or above and had submitted their profile before the mentioned date and time are the ones who have received ITAs in this round of invitation.
Since the onset of travel restrictions due to the Covid-19 scare, the IRCC has held eight program-specific Express Entry draws to invite maximum applicants under PNP and Canadian Experience Class.
The applicants under both categories are most likely to be living in Canada during this period of time in comparison to other Express entry programs, impacted by the current travel restrictions. Thus, they will be less impacted by temporary travel restrictions.
