Every year, the IRCC (Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada) allocates nominations to OINP (Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program).
Similarly, this week the province of Ontario received 700 additional nominations on top of its 6,650 existing nominations for the year 2019 and will continue application processing and issue provincial nominations until the additional allocation is completed.
In addition to this, the province has also received an allocation of additional 250 nominations in intermediate skilled occupations for temporary foreign workers, i.e. NOC Skill Level C.
Apart from receiving additional nominations, the province has also issued NOIs to candidates under its Express Entry Aligned Skilled Trades Stream. This draw took place on 11th December, where the province has issued a total of 667 invitations to skilled Express Entry applicants.
The minimum score requirement in this latest OINP draw was 410 points and all those candidates who have scored 410 CRS points or above have received their NOIs (Notifications of Interest) and are now eligible to apply for Ontario s Provincial Nomination.
Please note, all the applications will be accepted for OINP’s nomination allocation 2020.
This stream is formulated to provide skilled foreign immigrants who have experience in skilled trades in Ontario an opportunity to work and live in Ontario permanently.
An applicant must create a valid profile in the IRCC s Express Entry pool and must get an NOI from Ontario in order to qualify to apply for provincial nomination.
Once an applicant gets a nomination, he or she can apply for Canada PR visa through IRCC.
