Saskatchewan Issued 460 Invitation in the Latest SINP Draw held on 28 Nov 2019

A total of 460 invitations have been issued by the province of Saskatchewan in the latest selection round. In this draw held by SINP(Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program), candidates were invited from two major categories, including, Express Entry and Occupations In-Demand categories. All 460 candidates are invited by the province of Saskatchewan to apply for a provincial nomination for permanent residence of Canada.

Candidates under Express Entry Aligned Category

Out of a total of 460 invitations, 200 invites were sent to Express Entry candidates. This sub-category of SINP is directly linked to the Express Entry system of the federal government. Under this Express Entry system, the pool of candidates is managed for 3 major economic-class immigration programs of Canada, naming, the Federal Skilled Worker Class, Canadian Experience Class, and Federal Skilled Trades Class.

All the Express Entry candidates who have received their provincial nomination from the province of Saskatchewan are then awarded 600 additional points in their overall Comprehensive Ranking System score. This way, they are guaranteed to get an invitation to apply for permanent residence in Canada.

Candidates under Occupations In-Demand Category

The remaining 260 invitations were sent to candidates under the Occupations In-Demand category to apply for a provincial nomination.

For both the categories under SINP, candidates are not required to have a prior job offer in Saskatchewan. But, they must have minimum 1-year work experience in an eligible skilled occupation in relation to their study field.

Process to Apply under SNIP s categories

To apply for Saskatchewan s provincial nomination via any of the sub-categories, an applicant is required to register an EOI (Expression of Interest) with the SINP.

All the EOI profiles that are eligible for any of the sub-categories are then given a score out of 100. This score is awarded on the basis of the International Skilled Worker Points Assessment Grid of SINP. According to the scores obtained, all the applicants are ranked in the EOI pool. Those with highest-ranking get their invitation to apply via regular draws, which SINP conducts.

In the latest draw held on 28th November, all the candidates who have scored 69 points or above were invited to apply.
