Canada continues the trend of back to back Express Entry draws in the month of August 2023. On 2 August 2023, the IRCC (Immigration Refugees, and Citizenship Canada) opened another Express Entry draw to invite candidates with proficiency in French language. It was a category-based Express Entry draw where in the IRCC has issued 800 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) for Canadian PR (Permanent Resident) Visa to Francophone candidates. After the latest EE draw, the total number of invitations issued this year reached to 71,948 in overall 24 EE draws opened until date. This was Express Entry draw no.260 since inception of the EE System.
Category-based Express Entry draws
This was the sixth category based draw this year. Now, the IRCC is conducting the category-based draws as well. As a result, candidates with low Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score as well getting the ITA simply based on the category the fall under.
