Quebec Opened First Arrima Draw Since January, 2020

After a long gap of six months, the Quebec’s Ministry of Immigration, Francization, and Integration has announced the details of second draw of 2020.

In this Regular Skilled Worker Program (RSWP) draw which was held on June 18, Quebec invited 7 eligible candidates to apply for a Quebec Selection Certificate (CSQ).

Who Received Invitation?

The applicants who received invitation were:

  • Either exempted from the cap placed when they applied to the Regular Skilled Worker Program or
  • They were living in Quebec as study or work permit holders on 16 June, 2019 when Bill 19 was introduced followed by a cancellation of approximately 16,000 RSWP applications

In order to qualify for the Invitation in this Latest Arrima Draw, all candidates were:

  • Required to file an EOI with MIFI before 17 December 2019
  • Required to be either temporary resident visa holders of Quebec at the time of applying, or work or study permit holders in Quebec at the time

After submitting an Expression of Interest via Arrima under the Regular Skilled Worker Program, the MIFI evaluates all the profiles and accordingly issue invitations to those candidates who meet particular selection criteria on the basis of province's labour market needs.

How to Apply for Quebec Immigration?

How Arrima Works?

Any aspiring immigrant who wish to move to Québec under the RSWP, i.e. Regular Skilled Worker Program is required to go through Arrima.

It is Quebec's immigration application management system that works on expression of interest and follows a quick 3-step process:

  • Completing an Expression of Interest (EOI) form online and providing information, like your education, age, work experience and language skills
  • The Ministère evaluates your profile and issue invitations and invited candidates qualify to submit their permanent selection application and pay the required fees.
  • Applications are evaluated using a selection grid
